Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. Who we are
coincap.biz (“the Site”, “we”, “us”) publishes cryptocurrency market data: prices, market capitalisations, charts, historical data and a currency converter. The Site is operated independently and is not affiliated with any exchange, token project or data provider. You can reach us at support@coincap.biz for anything related to the service, or at ads@coincap.biz for advertising.
2. What these terms cover
By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page always tells you which version is in force. Material changes will be reflected in that date, so it is worth checking it if you rely on the Site.
3. The data is informational only
Everything published here — prices, changes, volumes, market caps, charts, converter results, coin descriptions — is provided for general information. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Cryptocurrency markets are volatile and you can lose money. Any decision you make based on what you read here is entirely your own.
4. Accuracy and availability
Market data is sourced from third-party providers, primarily CoinGecko, with a secondary provider used when the primary one is unavailable. Data is cached and refreshed on a schedule, which means the figures you see are recent, not real-time, and can differ from the price on any particular exchange. Providers occasionally publish incorrect or delayed data, and outages happen.
We make a genuine effort to keep the Site accurate and online, but we provide it “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the data is correct, complete or current, or that the Site will be available without interruption. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Site or from reliance on anything published here.
5. Accounts
You can use the Site without an account. If you create one — with an email address and password, or through Google Sign-In — you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you believe someone else has access to it.
The watchlist and portfolio are manual bookkeeping tools. They do not connect to any exchange or wallet, they execute no transactions, and they hold no funds. We never ask for private keys, seed phrases or exchange API keys. Anyone claiming to be us and asking for them is attempting fraud.
You may delete your account at any time from the account page. Deleting it removes your watchlist and portfolio entries as well.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not: attempt to break into the Site or into other users’ accounts; scrape the Site so aggressively that it degrades service for others; republish our data as if it were your own product; or use the Site for anything unlawful. We may suspend access that harms the Site or other users.
7. Public API
The Site exposes a small read-only JSON endpoint for convenience. It is offered on a fair-use basis, with no uptime or stability guarantee, and its shape may change without notice. If you build something on it, cache the responses and keep your request rate reasonable. Attribution back to coincap.biz is appreciated.
8. Advertising and third-party links
Parts of the Site are paid placements: banners, text bars, coin badges and promoted rows. Every one of them is visibly labelled as advertising. Paying for a placement buys visibility and nothing else — it does not affect rankings, prices or any other data, and it is not an endorsement. Links in advertisements lead to third-party sites we do not control and are not responsible for. Evaluate any offer, especially any financial offer, on your own before acting on it.
9. Intellectual property
The name, logo, design, written descriptions and source code of the Site belong to its operator. The underlying market data belongs to its respective providers. You may quote and link to our pages freely; wholesale copying of the Site’s content or design is not permitted.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator is established, and any dispute will be handled by the courts competent for that place, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules in your own country of residence give you a different forum.
