About Chainlink
Chainlink is an oracle network that brings external data onto blockchains. Smart contracts cannot read the outside world by themselves, so lending protocols, derivatives and stablecoins rely on oracles for prices and other inputs. Independent node operators fetch and aggregate data, staking LINK as collateral for honest reporting. Chainlink also offers cross-chain messaging and verifiable randomness.
