Aave is a decentralised lending market. Depositors supply assets to pools and earn interest; borrowers post collateral and pay a variable or stable rate set algorithmically by utilisation. Positions that fall below their collateral requirement are liquidated automatically. Aave also introduced flash loans, borrowed and repaid within a single transaction.
